| The
Problem
This network is typical of many. In this case there
are 3 problems. The photo above shows a pretty scary mess of unnecessary
long patch cables with no where to go. The photo below shows the
switches in this installation are arranged in a chassis formation which
provides an excellent opportunity to show you the difference between a
chassis and a properly spaced network. |

The Solution It begins with rearranging the network, so that it
makes sense. This arrangement is found in our downloadable
Install Guide.
We have replaced the Panduit manager with the NP2K6 from Neat-Patch. The
kit's twenty-four CAT6 cables are 2ft long, a dimension that was
overlooked when the industry decided to produce 1,3,5, and 7ft cables.
Simple mathematics validate the fit of a 2 footer in a 19 inch equipment
rack. The 2 ft cable promotes uniformity and leaves just enough excess
to form a single coil circuit. The coil provides the bend radius that is
taught by BICSI, but never achieved. |

The Results For half the price of the Panduit solution, we have turned this patch cable nightmare into an IT manager's dream. Each circuit is in the form of a single coil. Easy to trace, troubleshoot and manage.

The Savings? - About $800.00! That's right! The money saved here is only part of the savings. The time saved managing this network is another of the benefits. The bend radius supplies optimal bandwidth over the wadding of cables in the Panduit solution which is one of the concerns regarding alien crosstalk between cables. Neat-Patch blows away the competition and takes care of the IT manager by bringing common sense to the industry at a very sensible price.
